The Creators Guild of America Foundation is building a scholarship program for emerging creative professionals: funding for the education of the people who will define the next chapter of creative work. The program is in development, and this page is where it will be announced.
The Case for Scholarships
Every established creative industry funds its own next generation, through conservatories, film schools, fellowships, and endowed scholarships. The creator economy, for all its scale, has almost none of that structure. Scholarships are how an industry says its future professionals are worth investing in.
Who They Are For
The program is aimed at emerging professionals: people early in the path from creative talent to creative career, for whom targeted funding changes what is possible. Eligibility standards will be published with the program, defined clearly enough that applicants can see themselves in them.
What They Will Cover
Scholarship scope, education, training, and the costs that gate access to both, will be finalized and published at launch. The design principle is already set: fund what measurably moves an emerging professional forward, and keep the administration lean so the dollars reach the recipient.
The Standard
Selection will be run the way institutions run it: published criteria, fair review, and results the Foundation can stand behind publicly. A scholarship carries the Foundation’s name, and the integrity of the process is part of what recipients receive.
Be Notified
Scholarship announcements will be made here and to the Foundation’s list. To hear when applications open, join the list, or reach the Foundation at hello@cgafoundation.org.
Apply
To apply, email a letter to scholarships@cgafoundation.org describing what you are studying or building, what the scholarship would make possible, and links where we can learn more about you and your work. The Foundation reviews submissions on a rolling basis and responds to every applicant.
